Samsung R610 Blu-ray notebook launches 16-incher joins "touch of colour" range

Samsung has added to its "touch of colour" notebook range with the launch of the R610.
The R610 offers a 16-inch high resolution screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio, so is angled as the ideal choice for watching HD content on the go.
The notebook offers a Blu-ray drive and "home theatre quality sound" with the in-built 2 x 2W stereo speakers and Enhanced Digital Sound.
Looks-wise, you're looking at a "deep rose red infusion that illuminates the piano-black, glossy finish", it weighs in at 2.8kg and boasts full-size 17-key numeric keypad.
On the specs side of things, the R610 gets Intel Centrino 2 processor technology, Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium, up to 4GB RAM, up tp 320GB had drive, and Nvidia's GeForce 9200M series of graphics cards.
There's also wireless LAN, 10/100/1000 Ethernet, modem, Bluetooth 2.0+ED, webcam, three in one multi-memory card reader, PCI Express card slot, 4 x USB ports and a HDMI/VGA port.
The R610 will be available from October 2008, pricing starts from £799 plus VAT.
