Ainol and Gemei both deliver new PMPs

6 October 2008 16:14 GMT / By Katie Scott

Here's a duo of PMPs that have been developed in China, but just might make it to Western shores.

First up is the Ainol V3000, which has a price tag of around 699 Chinese yuan, or around $102.

Tech-wise, this PMP includes 4GB of internal memory, a 4.3-inch 800 x 480 resolution display, FM tuner, TV output and a rechargeable battery.

But a possible rival is the A320 from Gemei, which does look slightly like a certain Sony games console, but is, in fact, a PMP.

It is compatible with an array of audio and video formats and also has "an integrated emulator" so you can play games.

No price as yet though or detailed specs but we'll keep you posted, especially if there's news on it coming this way.
