A little known PC manufacturer in the UK is the first in the world to ship a notebook featuring dual core processor.
The Warwick based company shipped the Xtreme 64, a desktop replacement notebook with leading edge graphics, featuring NVIDIA 6800 Ultra graphics and supports both AMD's dual core Athlon 64 X2 and FX57 processors.
The laptop also features dual hard drives for up to 240GB storage and optional dual DVD writers. The 17" screen has X-Glass as standard and is available at a super high 1920 by 1200 resolution.
Boardman, Managing Director of Rock, the company behind the laptop said: "Dual Core notebooks are undoubtedly the future for those who need as much power as they can get even if they sacrifice some portability. Xtreme 64 is causing a great deal of excitement amongst our customers who haven't previously been able to get near to this performance in a portable workstation".
Prices start from £1,899 ex. VAT.
