Vodafone brings the GX20 to its range

2 November 2003 21:50 GMT / By PRESS RELEASE

Comment: more enhanced features over its GX10 model to get even more out of the live! service
Vodafone UK today announced the latest addition to its range of Vodafone live! handsets - the Sharp GX20. The new phone follows the Sharp GX10, the original Vodafone live! handset made famous by the global advertising campaign featuring David Beckham.

The slim and light Sharp GX20 offers improved picture resolution and advanced camera functionality that will enhance the Vodafone live! picture messaging experience. New features include a picture editing facility and a self timer for time delay shots.

The Sharp GX20 provides access to the full range of Vodafone live! services. Today this includes:

• 2,500 polyphonic ringtones
• Over 90 2D and 3D Java colour games
• Shopping at HMV, Oddbins, Thorntons and others through ‘Vodafone live! Shopping'
• 120 content partners, including The AA and Maxim
• Video clip capture
• Tri-band

The new phones will be available in Vodafone UK retail stores on contract from 19 August 2003 and on Pay As You Talk from 27 August 2003. On contract, the handset will cost between £100 and £240*, depending on the customer's price plan. The Pay As You Talk handset costs £400.

*Prices quoted are for handsets purchased through Vodafone UK retail. Vodafone UK recommends other customers contact their service provider for pricing and availability.
