Microsoft looking for best 100 PGR gamers across Europe

Limited edition Xbox360 consoles to be won in Europe-wide virtual racing comp

NEWS: 6 February 2006 16:40 GMT by Stuart Miles

Microsoft is looking for Project Gotham Racing drivers who think they are good enough to be crowned champions of Europe in a new tournament taking place next month.

From today, fans of the game have the chance to collect the ultimate in PGRTM kudos by winning a place in the virtual racing event, the first ever PGR100, fuelled by Xbox Live.

Events held throughout Europe in February and March will determine 100 gamers who have earned a place in the coveted PGR 100. Each will win a unique, limited edition, PGR black-finished Xbox360 console.

Taking into account the variations in the game, the PGR 100 will test skill, daring, knowledge and stylish racing.

To enter you need to log on to Xbox Live on your Xbox360 and download a specially designed PRG 100 Gamer Picture, "PGR 100", from Xbox Live Marketplace between 12:01hrs GMT on Wednesday 6th February 2006 and 11.59hrs GMT on 10 March 2006.

The company will be announcing other ways to win a place in the PGR100 in the near future for both Xbox and Xbox360 owners, via its website http://www.xbox.com/pgr100
