Tom Cruise struggling to contain baby excitement

Tom Cruise is showing that new dads struggle to talk about anything but their new arrival.

Asked on Australian television this week how he was doing after the birth of his new daughter with actress Katie Holmes, Tom, 43, said: "I'm really, really good, exceptionally well. I'm really doing beautifully and Kate is doing beautifully, and Suri is doing beautifully".

In an interview with ITV, Mission Impossible co-star Philip Seymour Hoffman, who plays bad guy Owen Davian in MI3, and who is also a father, offered this insight:

"When you have a child, as anyone knows who has them, that's basically all you want to talk about."
