France, Germany, Italy and Spain get Google Maps France, Germany, Italy and Spain get street level mapping

Google has announced today that it has added new Google map data for France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
The inclusion of the new maps means that Britons can now find the perfect route across Europe without having to rely on Satellite Navigation systems.
Google has also greatly improved high resolution imagery coverage for Europe in both Google Maps and Google Earth.
Steven Crossan, product manager, Google Maps Europe, notes that the extension has been his has been a global effort with Google teams based Paris, Hamburg, Milan, Madrid, New York, Mountain View, Kirkland, Sydney, London, Dublin and Zurich working together to build a "truly local" product.
Street-maps have also been rendered for several other countries, though these have to be accessed via the countries listed above.
