Creative, the worldwide leader in digital entertainment products for the personal computer and the Internet, announces the PC-CAM
880, a breakthrough camera that combines quality, digital still camera functionality with the versatility of a PC camera. Priced at £129.99 incl. vat, the PC-CAM 880 will be available in July.
The PC-CAM 880 delivers stunning 3.0 megapixel (interpolated) still images or 640x480 video clips, which can be previewed via its 1.6-inch LCD display. With removable memory and TV output, the Creative PC-CAM 880 makes it easy to transfer and share images with family and friends. In addition to all of these great digital camera features, the PC-CAM 880 also serves as a web camera when attached to the PC, for videoconferencing or monitoring the
desktop.
"The PC-CAM 880 delivers the features our customers have been demanding," explains Geraldine Lee, European brand manager for WebCams with Creative. "Now users who want to enjoy digital photography and videoconferencing can do so using a single camera."

Image quality is outstanding, thanks to the 2.1 megapixel CMOS sensor that ensures brighter, clearer images, realistic skin tones and vibrant colours."
The compact, lightweight PC-CAM 880 can be used right out of the box. Its 16MB of built-in memory will capture up to 17 high-quality images at 2048x1536, 112 images at 800x600, or up to 76 seconds of video at 640x480. Its expansion slot will accept SD or MMC card memory for almost unlimited storage capacity, and the handy carry pouch keeps it protected when users are on the move.
True to its PC-CAM family dual-mode heritage, the PC-CAM 880 doubles as a desktop PC web camera. The included swivel base makes it ideal for videoconferencing over the Internet, while the software bundle gives top-quality results in photo editing, archiving and sharing as well as web publishing and Internet conferencing.
