Apple adds CSI and Survivor TV shows to US iTunes

8 June 2006 19:55 GMT / By Stuart Miles

From today, American iTunes Customers will be able to get their fix of CSI and Survivor on their iPod or computer.

While us Brits still look on in envy, Apple has added hit TV shows from CBS in the US.

Visitors to the store will be able to get episodes of Survivor, NUMB3RS and NCIS as well as CSI programs: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami, and CSI: NY.

The announcement from Apple and CBS means that the iTunes store in America now offers over 100 TV shows for $1.99 per episode.

The new CBS offerings include episodes from the just-completed
2005/2006 season, and earlier for some series, as well as the upcoming season which starts in September.

New episodes will, like other offerings on the online store be available on iTunes the day after they appear on the network.

Apple is still yet to offer television downloads at any of its other iTunes stores around the world. In the past the company has sighted licensing issues holding it back expansion in other countries.
