Steve Jobs was in London today to open the doors to Apple's iTunes Europe music download service this morning. Over 700,000 tracks are available to download from today with individual tracks costing 79p to download and whole albums priced at £7.99.
Apple has also updated its iTunes software to 4.6 to allow connectivity with the new music service. However, it's not all-good news however with many bands on independent labels failing to sign up for launch. Bands include Basement Jaxx, Craig David and Badly Dawn Boy.
The Apple iTunes store was delayed in the UK until today due to licensing agreement difficulties.
Apple did not confirm the launch date in the UK for the Apple iPod Mini at the launch.
