Watch owners continually annoyed at having to wind on the date each month will be pleased to know watchmaker Timex has said that it has finally tackled the problem.

Although it seems to have taken the company 150 years, Timex's latest offering, which is an addition to their Perpetual calendar collection keeps track of the date by day, month, and year regardless of how many days there are in the month.

Launched in honour of the watchmaker's 150th birthday, the new model also features a battery that, the company say, should last you 8 years.

Those keen to see the time in the dark will also be pleased to see that the dial can also be illuminated at night thanks to an indiglo night-light feature.

The price for the Timex Perpetual watch is just £54.99. For stockists, call 0208 326 6900.
