Telewest tries to woo gamers with online gaming packs

Telewest Broadband has launched what it believes is the complete online console gaming pack for Xbox or PS2 owners. The service which comes with a £30 set up fee and £5 a month subscription charge.

Xbox owners will get free installation to blueyonder broadband internet and a free cable modem, 12-month subscription to Xbox Live with headset, blueyonder dual connector and second IP address and Project Gotham Racing 2 to get them started.

PS2 owners will get free installation to blueyonder broadband internet and free cable modem, a PS2 network adapter, blueyonder dual connector and second IP address and Hardware Online Arena.

The dual connector and second IP address provide connection via a router and ethernet cable and allows gamers to connect to the internet with their console and PC at the same time.
