Toshiba bumps up HDMI inputs to three in its latest LCD TV range

Hat trick of sockets

NEWS: 16 August 2006 13:14 GMT by Amber Maitland

Toshiba has launched another series of LCD TVs to add to its Regza range of HD-ready models.

The three new TVs, which sport the series number WLT68, come with three HDMI inputs.

The WLT66 series announced in April only supports two HDMI sockets.

Toshiba claims that the Active Vision M100 technology makes a huge difference when watching moving subjects, because it doubles the scanning rate to 100Hz, creating a smoother motion.

The TVs also come with a built-in Freeview tuner, and are available in three sizes: 32, 37, and 42 inches.

The three HDMI inputs let you connect to an HD-DVD player, games console, and HD set-top box without switching cords, while a component video socket means you can still watch videos from old-school VCRs.
