Miglia MicroSound gives volume to the tiniest of iPods

Portable speakers give voice to your DAP

NEWS: 29 August 2006 15:28 GMT by Amber Maitland

Miglia has launched a tiny portable speaker system for the iPod nano and Shuffle to rival the PodGear Pocket Party.

The MicroSound runs on AAA batteries that give it enough power for up to 12 hours of playing time.

It plugs into the headphone jack of the small iPods, manages to put out 85mw + 85mw of power, and has a frequency response of 200Hz-18Khz.

It looks quite similar to the PodGear version, and comes in both black and white for around £20.

Although Miglia raves about the quality and volume that the speakers achieve for their size, if it’s anything like the PodGear Pocket Party it will be quite low volume and a bit tinny, but only a review will tell for sure.
