Asus has announced an Ultra Mobile PC, the R2H Ultra Mobile PC.

The new unit runs on Windows XP Tablet PC Edition and features a built in high-resolution webcam, Global Positioning System (GPS), biometric fingerprint authentication, and a 7-inch touchscreen.

The R2H is also packed with other functions such as Bluetooth 2.0 EDR and WLAN 802.11a/b/g. In addition to the handwriting recognition which enables any user to have an intuitive input method right at their touch, the R2H also has a more traditional four-way cursor control pad, a motion navigation roller (similar to laptop "nubs") and an optional external keyboard (pictured in the attached press release).

The Asus R2H will be available in September with an Intel ULV Celeron M 900MHz, 768MB DDRII 667 RAM, 60GB HDD, and for making sure you can move all your existing applications and files without the need for another PC an external USB DVD Dual D/L Drive. It will have a SRP of £799 (inc VAT).
