Disney unveils new Mix Max portable media players Just for kids

Disney has upgraded its Mix Stick range of portable music players to create the Mix Max portable digital media player.

Priced at $99, the device players full-length movies and TV shows, as well as music videos and photos. And to make life easier for computer-phobic parents and kids, Disney is sell Mix Max Clips, which are memory cards pre-loaded with movies from Buena Vista Home Entertainment, music videos, or music.

The devices are designed to be kid-friendly, featuring buttons that form a mickey-mouse shape and encased in a variety of colours and patterns.

Features include a 2.2-inch colour display, 512MB of memory, and an expandable memory slot. The device plays video at a low 220 x 176 resolution, and includes a rechargeable battery with enough juice for up to 2 hours of playback.

The package doesn’t seem to include headphone or a USB cord, although it does come with a Windows Media software CD.
