And now, for something a bit different. The iSymphony micro stereo is is a full-functioning hifi system for the iPod, and offers more than the usual plug-it-in and play functionality.

Compatible with all iPods with dock connector, and adaptable to the Shuffle, the stereo system plugs into the computers USB for synchronisation, but also plays from SD and MMC memory cards, thanks to built-in slots.

The blue-lit device also features an FM radio with 40 presets and clock radio functions for alarm settings. For audio power, the system features 2 25W speakers into 6 ohms, plus 2-way bass-reflex wooden speakers, a 25mm dome tweeter, and a 100mm woofer.

Other features include a front loading CD/MP3 WMA player, 64 track program memory, Dynamic Bass Boost and Equaliser. The system comes with a 40-key remote control, and will be available in October.
