Porsche will present four new models at the Paris Motor Show - the 911 Targa 4 (and 4S), the 911 GT3 RS, the Cayman and the Boxster (and Boxster S).
The 325bhp 911 Targa 4 and 355bhp 911 Targa 4S are the latest versions of the classic rear-engine sports coupé and, for the first time, the Targa is being offered with permanent all-wheel drive, which will compliment the already signature retractable glass roof and opening rear window. The awesome track-day special 911 GT3 RS hits Europe in October. The exceptionally high-revving 3.6litre engine pumps out 415bhp at 7600 rpm.
The new Boxster and Boxster S, meanwhile, get increased performance and torque. The 2.7-litre engine in the Boxster now develops 245bhp (a modest 5bhp increase) yet fuel consumption and emissions have been reduced. The Boxster S engine goes from 3.2 to 3.4 litres, and now develops 295bhp (a 15bhp increase).
Finally, the base-model 245bhp Cayman sports coupé with its 245bhp 2.7 litre horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine - comes to town, following the moderate sals successes of the Cayman S last year.
