NEWS: 2 November 2003 23:44 GMT by PRESS RELEASE

Iomega today confirmed that they would be launching a 1.5Gb Click styled drive to the UK early next year.

The removable storage, which would fit into a PCMIA slot, is aimed at providing a standard media format across digital and video imaging platforms as well as other data storage areas.

Iomega also implied that they will be opening up the licening of manufacturing to other players in the market. They also suggested that a major conumer electronics maker is to encorporate the PCMIA slot, and thus the opportunity to fit the drive into all its TV's, digital camcorders and other product ranges.

No price has yet been confirmed, nor a release date for the first models, but it looks like the Click drive may not be dead and burried after all.
