Sony Computer Entertainment has muted that it will be making a big announcement to UK journalists on Tuesday 21 September.
Although they aren't telling what it is yet, we have been told there will be a “huge PlayStation announcement next week, and it'd be worth your while attending the event”
Rumour mills suggest the announcement could be more specific details on a UK launch of the PSP portable handheld device or even details on the next generation PlayStation - the PS3.
We could be wrong, but we doubt it will be news on the PSX - Sony's hard drive based media player, which seems to struggling in Japan at the moment. Recent figures announced last week in Japan show that it hasn't been well received by the Japanese public. The PSX has been tipped to be launched in the UK time and time again over the past year, however a launch date is yet to be set.
