Rok, the company convinced that 2.5G is the way forward for mobile networks, has extended its FreeBeTV offering to include an internet protocol TV application so that its 14 channels can be accessed from the PC.

The application is standalone and doesn't require an internet browser to view the free TV programmes being aired. FreeBeTV offers free-of-charge programming without advertising for viewing on 21 different mobile phone handsets and now on the desktop.

“With a genuinely free service which champions the consumer, we are offering the broadest reach imaginable, therefore serving to make mobile and PC TV services mass-market”, says Rok representative Jonathan Kendrick.

The channel offerings span a gamut from Monkey News Network, You Made It, Xtreme Sportz, Toon Time, Superhero Showcase, War, Network Horror, Mind Control, and Bad but Brilliant.

Rok has big plans to expand its free channels to 500 in various languages and genres.
