You might want to think carefully before clicking on that YouTube link from a MySpace page, as it might infect your PC with adware.

Internet security company Websense has warned that several sexually explicit videos on MySpace pages don’t link to YouTube, but rather Yootube.info. When someone attempts to download the video, they will also be led into downloading Zango Cash, which is advertising software.

Users will be asked to agree to a licensing agreement when Windows Media Player opens to play the video, but the licensing agreement actually gives permission for the Zango Cash Toolbar to be installed. Zango has only just come to a settlement with the Federal Trade Commission on charges that it breaches federal law with its installation methods.

According to Zango’s website, you can play games, and watch videos and downloads in return for watching ads. Apparently most spyware detectors regard Zango as “risky”.
