Nokia's partnership with Yahoo seems to be growing stronger as they extend Yahoo's mobile offerings to Series 40-based mobile phone.

Already loaded on to the Series 60 smartphones, now the Series 40, with models like the new 6300, 5300 XpressMusic, and 5200, will receive the Yahoo treatment.

Yahoo Mail is now embedded on to the three Series 40 mobile phones, so that you'll never miss another message. Messenger is, of course available, as well as Yahoo Personal Information Management, which ensures that you'll never lose your contacts again. It allows you to sync your Yahoo contacts, as well as tasks and calendar, on your PC.

The Nokia and Yahoo partnership for mobile phones was first announced in April 2005, and last January some applications became available for use on Nokia smartphones.

"Since the Series 40 platform was introduced in 2002, Nokia has sold more than 400 million mobile phones which operate using the platform", says Kai Oistamo, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Mobile Phones, Nokia. "In addition to the millions of users who can add Yahoo! services to their S60 smartphone, today's announcement empowers tens of millions of people with the ability to enjoy their favourite Yahoo! services on an even broader ranges of Nokia devices."
