Intempo launch iDS-01NR speakers for coloured iPod nanos

5 December 2006 10:25 GMT / By Amber Maitland

Intempo, the company known for its DAB radio with interchangeable photo cover, has launched a speaker system that coordinates with the colours of the second generation iPod nano.

In silver, green, blue, and pink, the iDS-01NR is available for £50 from Amazon.co.uk and Comet, or for £40 without the remote control.

Although it's designed with the coloured nanos in mind, the system also fits other dockable iPods and MP3 players.

Powerful sound is produced thanks to two 6W neodymium speakers and a 3D super bass design.

As with all docks, this one lets you charge your iPod as well as sync it with your computer via USB; it also has a 3.5mm stereo line-in jack so that other audio devices can be plugged in.

The major difference between this model and the iDS-01 is the addition of the remote and the coloured casing. It's powered by the mains, and measures 23 x 12 x 9cm.
