Panasonic updates DMC-FZ10 with LUMIX DMC-FZ20
3 October 2004 16:53 GMT / By Stuart Miles
Panasonic has launched a new successor to the DMC-FZ10, the LUMIX DMC-FZ20 a 5 megapixel digital camera that offers a 12x optical zoom - the equivalent of a 36mm to 432mm in an equivalent 35mm camera.
To combat the inventible camera shake with such a zoom length, Panasonic has introduced a system called: Mega Optical Image Stabiliser (OIS). Originally developed for Panasonic video cameras, the OIS technology has been integrated with the DMC-FZ20.
In addition, the Burst Shooting Mode allows you to capture up to seven full-size images (standard mode) at a lightening quick three frames per second. The camera also features built-in USB ports and SD memory card slots.
No price or release date has yet been set for the new model.
