Now, you can buy your beer from an off-licence. You can buy it from a supermarket too, if you so desire. But if you’re serious about the quality of the ale you pour down your neck, you need to buy it from a specialist. So it’s a good job that this little site has been launched.

realale.com is the online home of a fantastic little shop in Twickenham, a specialist retailer of fine real ales, stouts, ciders and other things gloriously boozy.

You can join the club they run and for a modest fee you will be sent a case of fabulously varied ales every month.

There goes the liver (what’s left of it anyway…)
