CES 2007: LaCie releases six products, including external Blu-ray burner And lots of backup storage solutions

LaCie, not to be left out of the high-definition furore brewing before CES, has introduced its own external Blu-ray drive, along with five other storage solutions
Compatible with both Windows and Mac, and available worldwide, the d2 Blu-ray Drive comes with Roxio burning software and dual FireWire/USB connectivity.
It both reads and writes single or dual-layer Blu-ray discs, and is, of course, backward compatible with DVD and CD drives. It will hit the shelves at a whopping $1149.
The Quadra Hard Drive also makes its debut at CES, with quadruple interfaces: USB, Firewire 400 and 800, and eSATA.
It features a Shortcut Button to quickly launch applications or documents at the touch of a button, is bundled with backup software from EMC, and is available for around $300 for 500GB.
One of the more interesting products is the FireWire Speakers, which are bus-powered, and therefore, according to the company, produce better sound quality than USB-powered ones. They'll be on sale for around $90, and look a bit like the old steam funnels on big ships.
Also debuting at CES are the d2 SAFE Hard Drive, Ethernet Disk mini and Ethernet Big Disk, and Ethernet Disk RAID.
The 500GB SAFE Hard Drive features biometric safety, triple interfaces, and backup software for $299.
The Ethernet Disk mini and Ethernet Big Disk are designed as network storage for small offices or home offices, and come in five different capacities from 250GB to 1TB, and range in price from $199 to $499.
