Olympus announce irobe system

Along the announcement of its new MP3 players, Olympus has also announced a new camera, hard disk drive and printing solution. The camera, called the IR-500 will be a 4 megapixel mode, feature a 2.8x optical zoom and 17 pre-set scene programmes. Additionally the camera will also feature a 360degree 2.5in LCD monitor.

Alongside the camera Olympus has announced the S-HD-100 a 40Gb USB2.0 hard disk drive which can be connected directly to Olympus' new printer, the P-S-100 and the IR-500.

Finishing off the range is the P-S-100 a 306 dpi dye-sublimation printer capable of printing Borderless 148 x 100mm prints in approx. 85 seconds

The Olympus Easy Imaging System is planned for release in early 2005 with prices to be confirmed later this year.
