CES 2007: Buffalo releases first Vista Premium-certified wireless router

AirStation Wireless-N Nfiniti Dual Band Gigabit Router

NEWS: 9 January 2007 13:27 GMT by Amber Maitland

Buffalo's latest router has the distinction of being the world's first to be Windows Vista Premium certified.

The AirStation Wireless-N Nfiniti Dual Band Gigabit Router meets the criteria for certification: it's dual band, supports Xbox and Ipv6, and includes Wi-Fi Protected Setup, or WPS, which is a simplified method to set up a secure wireless network.

Because it's dual-band the router lets you choose one band for basic networking needs like email and internet browsing, and another for big file transfers.

Other features include a four port Ethernet switch, support for QoS, and a One Touch Secure System for setting up a Wi-Fi network just by pressing a button.

The AirStation will be available from January for around £162 ex VAT, along with a matching adapter for £85.
