Samsung sneaks out Ultra Edition 5.9

New super thin model

NEWS: 22 January 2007 10:53 GMT by Amber Maitland

Samsung has apparently produced its slimmest mobile phone so far, although it hasn't formally been released yet.

Pictures of the Samsung Ultra Edition 5.9 have appeared on an Italian tech website, with a few specifications.

The most interesting thing about the camera is its thinness. It's said to be a triband/GSM phone, with a 3.2MP camera, an MP3 player and video recorder, mobile TV capability, and Bluetooth.

It's not due out until March, and supposedly will come with 80MB of memory.

The previous record for “world's thinnest mobile phone” was also held by a Samsung handset, the X820.
