Oscars go HD Sky to show everything up close and crystal clear

Sky has announced that it will be broadcasting the 79th Annual Academy Awards in HD when the awards ceremony takes place in February.

Sky One and Sky One HD's 90 minute preview coverage, starting at 11pm on Sunday 25 February will capture the famous red carpet arrivals. Presented by Fearne Cotton, the show will grab exclusive interviews with the stars about their outfits and predictions of success.

Then Sky Movies and Sky Movies HD (available to Sky HD customers only) full, live coverage of the awards begins at 12.30am with the ceremony kicking off at 1.30am.

Sky One and Sky One HD will broadcast a 2-hour highlights show from 10pm on Monday 26 February 2007.
