Samsung unveils HSDPA-enabled camera

VLUU i70 only released in Korea

NEWS: 23 January 2007 15:45 GMT by Amber Maitland

Samsung has released what may be another “world's first” - an HSDPA-enabled camera.

The VLUU i70 looks remarkably like the i7 released at CES, but has the addition of the HSDPA functionality that lets you upload images straight from the camera to a remote computer or website.

The camera can also supposedly receive text messages, although what good that will be without having a keypad with which to type a reply is questionable.

Other specs are fairly average, with a 3x optical zoom, 7.2MP of resolution, and ISO pu to 1600.

Samsung hasn't left off the multimedia aspect of the camera, as it plays MP3s and MPEG4 videos.

We'll keep you updated as to when, or if, it'll be released in the UK.
