Who says that media players need to be expensive? Genus has released the VIZO Personal Media Player at just £39.95.

The Genus VIZO is a true multi-media player offering video and music play back, voice recording, picture and mass storage all wrapped up in a machined aluminium case that measures in at a very pocket friendly 65 x 65 x 18mm and only 95 grams in weight.

The player sports a 2-inch 262k colour TFT screen offering full DVD resolution and quality (720 x 576 @ 35 frames per second).

The Genus VIZO also directly supports all the key video file formats (including MPEG4, AIV, DivX) WITHOUT any need for compression or reformatting/conversion. Just drag, drop and play your movies.

Music Play Back supports MP3, WMA and OGG file formats and the Photo Viewer handles JPEG images up to 6 megapixels as individual or slide show format.

Battery life is promised at 4 hours video/10 hours music from single charge.

The new player is available now.
