Martin Langfield's The Malice Box is published today and is described as "a compelling and hyper-imagined debut mystical thriller from a brilliant new voice in suspense fiction". We don't know about that (couldn't get hold of a preview copy) but the website is very intriguing.
The novel tells the tale of a quest to find sources of red gold - a precious metal with mystical properties - and prevent a disaster.
This site lets you join the quest. By solving tasks you progress toward the final location and by solving them all you can prevent global catstrophe and bag yourself some neat prizes to boot.
So if the world ends in a couple of weeks, we'll know who to blame, won't we?
