Altea gets the 4x4 treatment Freetrack concept can go off-road, and it's white

SEAT has unveiled the Altea Freetrack Prototype, a 4x4 concept based on its existing Altea hatchback.

At 185 mm higher than the Altea, the Freetrack has the same 250bhp 2.0 T FSI engine as the recently debuted in the new Leon Cupra. The model’s width has also been increased by 60mm, mainly to accommodate the imposing 255/50 tyres mounted on 19in rims.

Plastic side guards with aluminium inserts protect the body against rocks and other off-road obstacles and at the front there’s a flash bumper with square grille air intakes.

Inside, there’s two-tone brown and white leather upholstery, individual bucket seats, and front seats that can be electronically adjusted. Oh, and the paintwork – well, that’s any colour you like, so long as it’s white.
