A new gadget had been designed to make walking your dog a thing of the past. Called the GoDogGo, it professes to be the only automatic fetch machine for dogs. It's a remote control ball launcher that throws tennis balls 15-30 feet for your dog to retrieve.
You control the launch distance and launch times with the remote control. If you can train your dog to put the balls back in the bucket you'll get continuous play out of it for hours.
However it seems the joys of never having to walk your friendly mutt again do come at a price. Firstly you'll need a big enough garden and secondly $149.99. The company will ship to the UK although it will cost an addition $40.
