Blacks is breaking new ground in outdoor clothing by bringing eVent fabrics technology to stores across the UK, with their exclusive Technicals range. This new range has been tested and developed in conjunction with teams from Mountain Rescue England and Wales, in the harshest outdoor conditions.

Unlike any other laminates on the market, eVent fabrics have built-up a strong reputation for using the most breathable waterproof technology, allowing sweat to vent directly to the outside of the garment in one easy step.

Through a unique process called Direct Venting, eVent moves moisture away from the body, keeping you cool and reducing inner jacket condensation. This also keeps the user dry no matter what the activity or conditions.

The ultimate jacket in the men’s range is the versatile Lethbridge jacket (£199.99), a high-spec jacket providing for your every outdoor pursuit need. It features 4 season 3-layer construction; a rollaway hood with a stiffened peak to maximise visibility; waterproof zipped chest pockets, set high to allow for a rucksack harness and a full centre front waterproof zip.

The Technicals eVent range is completed by a selection of boots, to help withstand any tough conditions. The Stratus Mid eVent Walking Boot (£84.99) is available in black with red for men or winter green for women and is waterproof and extremely breathable. The boot features a gecko sole made from sticky rubber, meaning it’s suitable for any cross-terrain activity and a phylon moulded midsole to enhance cushioning and the heel absorbs energy, which relieves stress and reduces muscle fatigue. The women’s boot has a narrower mould giving them a personalised fit for extra comfort.

The Valles eVent Walking Boot (£89.99) is better suited to traditional long walks or hikes and also allows excellent breathability.
