Google Pack updated as company signs deal with LG

Google has updated is Google PC Pack software with two new applications as well as striking a deal LG to have a number of the search engine's software applications embedded directly on the company's mobile phones

The new Google Pack will now include Symantec's Norton Security Scan, which detects and removes viruses, and PC Tools' Spyware Doctor Starter Edition, a top-rated anti-spyware utility. Both are free and include automatic protection updates with no paid subscription required.

LG handsets with Google products and services, such as Google Maps, Gmail and Blogger, will be shipped to North America, Europe and Asia starting in the second quarter of 2007, the companies said.

The company has also said it has substantially updated its screensaver allowing users to display pictures from photo feeds on the web.
