The Future Bathroom Company solve the toilet argument

It's time to forget the toilet arguments and end them with the Future Toilet. Touching a toilet seat is not the most pleasant of bathroom activities; men either leave the seat in its position or leave it raised to annoyance of women.
The Future Bathroom Company has invented a toilet with a lever to lift the seat and cover with an automatic system that returns to the original position once flushed.
The need to raise and lower the seat could be over. The mechanism is powered entirely by water that fills the cistern. No water is actually used but as water returns to the cistern the seat and cover descend.
The Future Toilet will help prevent all unnecessary toilet seat splashes.
Initially this system will be hand built by the design team and available on eBay with an approximate cost of £350 per toilet. There are no additional fittings to a standard toilet. These will be available from April 15.
