Your own solar system

19 April 2007 12:19 GMT / By Ryan Haynes

Remember that romantic picnic between Ross and Rachel in Friends, with the solar system, the stars, the candles and the romantic music. Now you can recreate this yourself.

The Laser Cosmos creates a whirling star system with misty blue nebulae and the occasional shooting star. Fully adjustable and requiring no set up, this space projector scatters a random panoply of sparkling green stars across a room.

It can be used in a room of any size, just make sure you turn the lights off first and the curtains are closed. The images have been developed to appear three-dimensional, with varying brightness of different stars making some seem close and others to come from distant galaxies.

Available for £149.
