It was 30 years ago this year that the world of science fiction changed forever. The Star Wars saga took us to a galaxy far, far away and a long time ago and the lives of millions of prepubescent boys were turned on their heads. (It's almost certainly where the stereotypical boys' love of gadgets came from - and the Pocket-lint gang is no exceptions.)

The epic struggle of good against evil captured age-old themes and repackaged them for a new generation, and judging by the recent success of the prequels, the movie-going public's appetites have changed little in three decades.

You are either a fan or your not - there's no half measures - and today's recommendation is strictly for the former.

This is an impressive (to be said in your best Darth Vader voice) collection of props, costumes, original artwork, memorabilia and the all important toys, that has been touring the globe and this weekend it finally reaches London.

The show starts tomorrow at County Hall and tickets are available online. But be quick, you must.
