30 April 2007 12:20 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Hoping to captialise on its Street Gigs events and Channel 4 music series, Transmission, T-Mobile has opened up its offering beyond T-Mobile customers for all music fans with the launch of a new music site named ARTISTdirect.com/uk.

T-Mobile's Street Gigs are a unique series of live music events and ARTISTdirect.com is the largest independent music online music destination, which is launching dedicated content to the UK market for the first time.

Music lovers on T-Mobile will be able to download music via T-Zones, and non-T-Mobile customers will also be able to access news and get tickets to secretive StreetGigs and Channel 4's Transmission with T-Mobile.

The site goes live on Monday morning and fans will be able to access exclusive content from StreetGigs artists, The Fratellis, Mika, Badly Drawn Boy and the Arctic Monkeys.

Sam Taylor, Head of Advertising and Brand, T-Mobile said, "The partnership with ARTISTdirect.com is a further progression in our music strategy. The shared vision and the creativity and innovation of ARTISTdirect.com make them a great partner for T-Mobile. Building on the success of Street Gigs and Transmission with T-Mobile the new site will be the perfect platform to further our commitment to music and our relationship with UK music fans who want to know more about our programme of activity".
