Creative has upped the quality of speakers for the iPod with the launch of its dedicated Creative X-Fi Sound System.

The mini home Hi-Fi system is designed to bring back the quality of music that may get lost in MP3 conversion, restoring it to a top sound. The set comes with two-way satellite speakers, each with a large 3.5-inch driver and soft dome tweeter.

This system is more hi-end with its price tag of $600 but with what is promised a crisp, clear, restoration of sound for digital audio files - it would be worth it.

The device comes with wireless IR remote controls to adjust the speakers, player functions and the X-Fi effects. The speakers come as 35 Watts RMS per channel (2 channels) and a 130-Watts RMS subwoofer.

The X-Fi Sound System has been designed for iPods with no further MP3 players in mind, although adapters will be able to help plug them in to the system.
