From keypad to fret board - chords at the touch of a button

NEWS: 14 May 2007 0:00 GMT by Ian Hughes

Another achingly simple yet brilliant idea. Carry a comprehensive set of guitar chords in your mobile, so when you're stuck for the right key you just have to hit the right, er, key. ChordGenie generates just about any chord you can think of for guitars, banjos, ukulele and other stringed instruments.

With a metronome and pitch pipe built in, and the ability to play any chord to you so you know what it sounds like, this is just about the most useful mobile application we've seen for aspiring guitarists.

It won't turn you into Jimi Hendrix, but it'll certainly show you the way to better, and more tuneful, music.
