LG launches Portable Navigator line in US

Satnav next for Korean electronics giant

LG Electronics has launched its new Portable Navigator line of GPS products in the United States. Previewed at CES, LG's new satnavs, the LN730, LN735 and LN740 are now on sale Stateside.

GPS is just about the only area of electronics that LG hadn't entered, and their new line looks like they're going to do it well. LG's Portable Navigator line offers slim, easy-to-use devices featuring brilliant touchscreen LCDs ranging in size from 3.5- to 4-inches, turn-by-turn voice guidance, super-slim cases for enhanced portability, and millions of points-of-interest across the United States and Canada.

A round up of features includes; 3.5- or 4-inch displays for easy-to-read menus and maps, super slim and compact design for convenient portability between multiple vehicles, simple graphical user interface to help users customise personal settings, all models are equipped with SiRF Star III for rapid and accurate map positioning, clear turn-by-turn voice guidance and pre-loaded maps covering the United States and Canada, millions of points-of-interest included.

The LG LN740, LN735 and LN730 Portable Navigators are available with estimated retail prices of $449.95, $349.95 and $299.95, respectively. No word as yet on European availability.
