Hangtimer: a snowboarder's best friend

18 May 2007 16:57 GMT / By Chris Hall

No mate, more like 6 seconds. There you have it: the cause of many bust-ups on the slopes – disagreeing about the time or distance spent airborne off a lip, kicker or drop.

In steps HangTimer to put the issue to bed. As the name suggests, it will record up to 10 hang times – detected by it’s sophisticated tri-axis accelerometer (magic to you and me). It also doubles-up as a stop watch, clock and so on.

It is water-resistant up to 3 metres and attaches via a karabiner-style fixing, so you can snap it onto straps or pocket tabs and off you go.

Want one? You can get one at http://hangtimer.com/, but watch out, it don’t come cheap at $107 (inc shipping).
