Like The Sims? Well you'll soon be able to watch them on the big screen following EA selling the rights for The Sims to 20th Century Fox, Variety is reporting.

The Sims, one of EA's biggest titles, has sold nearly 85 million copies since it debuted 7 years ago thanks to a plethora of add-on packs that allow you to do everything from go on holiday to fall in love.

"The Sims has done an interactive version of an old story, which is what it's like to have infinite power and how do you deal with it", the Hollywood industry paper quoted Rod Humble, head of The Sims Studio at EA, as saying.

At this early stage, it's not sure whether the film will be an animation or live action, but it's bound to involve a family living in a house working every day just so you can get that funky looking hot tub.
