If you're of a certain age, you'll remember standing in your local sweet shop staring in bewildered awe at the wall of glass jars behind the counter, clutching your pocket money in your sweaty little palm, desperately working out which of the sugary delights you could afford a "quarter" of. Those were the days, eh?

If ever I see a shop like this nowadays I feel I have to rush in and buy something. Just to keep it going. Nothing to do with my rampant sweet tooth, of course.

Sadly, traditional sweet shops are going the way of the Texan Bar, Blake's Seven and Noel Edmonds in a hideous sweater on a Saturday morning. (Actually, that last one is no great loss.)

So, if you hanker for the sweets of your glory days, look no further.

Keep It Sweet is an online wonderland for sugar freaks and those with a nostalgic tendencies. All the greats are available here: cola cubes, cough candy; black jacks, the list goes on.

So go on, recapture some of the magic of childhood.

Oh, and for the record Marathon tasted better than Snickers ever could. Ditto Opal Fruits. Starburst?! Do me a flavour...
