Zypad WL 1000: a wearable wrist computer

29 June 2007 8:53 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

The Zypad is an actual product, not a prototype, designed for emergency-service type professionals.

"The Zypad WL 1000 is a wrist-wearable computer flexibly designed to give the user instant access to computing capabilities ... Featuring hands-free operation, robust wireless capabilities, and built-in GPS tracking, this wearable computer serves as an ideal tool for emergency search and rescue, healthcare, homeland security, maintenance, law enforcement, logistics, transportation, and defense applications."

Shame the real thing doesn't look anywhere nearly as cool as the mock-up pic...
