Panasonic Mobile has launched its first smartphone: the X700. The clamshell phone which measures 97(h)x49(w)x23.9(d)mm and weighs just 107g features a miniSD card and Bluetooth data support.
The X700 also offers viewing and editing of Microsoft Office documents and a speaker independent voice recognition system, which saves you dialling numbers from the phonebook. With Panasonic suggesting that, you will not have to pre-record your voice into the phone in order to recognise you.
Additionally the phone features Tri-band connectivity, a VGA digital camera, 65K colour screen and runs on the Symbian Series 60 platform.
Panasonic states that the X700 has up to five hours talk time and up to 250 hours standby.
The phone is available from all Phones4U outlets in the UK. Price will depend on contract.
